    Similar to the EnergyStar label, products with the WaterSense label:

    • Perform as well or better than their less efficient counterparts
    • Are 20 percent more water efficient than average products in that category
    • Provide measurable water savings results
    • Can be identified by the WaterSense label
    • Obtain independent, third-party certification

    WaterSense products include toilets, bathroom sink faucets, urinals, and showerheads. There is also a program to label new residences as WaterSense homes.

    The EPA offers a calculator for residential-based savings. Their calculator can give an idea to commercial owners about the amount of savings that could be gained, particularly for high-traffic businesses such as restaurants.
