The next Challenge event is on the horizon: Join the Better Business Challenge and the Batten Institute at the Darden School of Business for the Sustainability Innovation Pitch Night and Social Hour on January 23rd from 6-8 pm at the i.Lab at U.Va., operated by the Batten Institute at the Darden School.

Is your company facing a challenge that could be solved with an innovative sustainability solution? Do you have that idea, or are you currently undertaking an inventive sustainability initiative? At this fun and friendly event, all businesses and individuals are encouraged to present their proposal for achieving sustainability progress in their organizations and/or the wider community.

WE WANT YOU TO PITCH YOUR BEST IDEA: Share the design you want to bring to fruition! Prepare a 5-minute presentation with up to 5 slides. Enjoy food, beverages and meeting new friends throughout the evening. Want to pitch an idea?  by January 17th. Want to attend?  Simply sign up here.

Winners will be evaluated based on level of innovation, feasibility and environmental and social responsibility. The overall winner will receive two mentoring sessions with Philippe Sommer, former venture capitalist and Director of Darden’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and i.Lab at U.Va., operated by the Batten Institute. This is a crowd-voting event! Special commendations will be given by local elected officials to the presenters and other Challenge participants.
