New for the 2013-2014 Challenge:

This year, thanks to a grant from the Charlottesville Economic Development office, an additional component of the program will support small, women, and/or minority-owned (SWaM) City businesses with owners and/or employees who are low to moderate income as defined by the Housing and Urban Development Dept (HUD).  If your business qualifies, it will receive the following additional Challenge assistance which will help your business save money in the long term.

Take advantage of the following FREE Mini-Grants program resources within the Better Business Challenge.  But first you must qualify*

• 1 hour site visits and recommendations
• One-on-one assistance from a Challenge MVP business mentor
• Mini-grant program**

**To be eligible for a mini grant the business must:

• Participate in the Challenge for four months
• Have a physical business address in the City of Charlottesville
• Be a for-profit business or a B corporation
• Be able to provide documentation to meet income requirements
• Complete application in its entirety and submit to the Better Business Challenge
